If you ain't got the flow...

So I finally move back to Nairobi after twenty six very memorable months in Johannesburg. My last day of work was Friday and am flying out on Tuesday night. Looking forward to meeting the Freaks and all the Weston guys coming down for Masai's wedding.

I think Jozi is my bubble and I will one day buy a holiday home/golf estate in Gauteng!

Mzee is very excited and has practically told the whole world. He has got very high expectations and I can already feel the pressure to deliver. I guess I'll take it one day at a time.... At least I have my Stockholm/London/Dubai holiday in August to look forward to! Yipeee...

Soap - Get back from Sweden on 18th evening. Will you be able to pick me up from Lhr? I'll send you my flight details.

Farewell Bash(es)

Last couple of days have been very busy trying to tackle the never end list of things to do before leaving. Haven't had too much luck flogging the car... Auto Trader seems to have been a waste of money and it will hopefully be on AA Autobay in a day or two. Fingers crossed!

Anyway.... Ms. P is organising a farewell dinner/lunch for me at hers' sometime during my last weekend in Jo'burg. Am also looking forward to the roadtrip to Durban with Eagle and the rest of the team weekend of the 27th. Guess what I am going to be baking!?

This weekend hopefully lots of 'unmentionables' will be consumed in the graceful company of none other than Mallu!

Change...

To Casa:
It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power. - Alan Cohen

30 Days

Its hard to believe June is probably going to be my last month in Johannesburg... Only thirty days till I move back to Nairobi! I know it will be difficult at first, especially the traffic, but I am looking forward to the challenge. I think I should give Mzee a heads up instead of just showing up at his doorstep pennyless, homeless and jobless!

Anyhow... I had a bit of an email argument with Naz last week. Can't believe she hasn't yet realised what I jerk I am (or potentially can be)! Told her I wouldn't go to church with her on Sunday and am not going to call or sms her this weekend either. Will drop her an email on Monday and hope she replies.

I am craving another holiday - Namibia anyone?

Maaf Kardo...?

I am not a bad person. I know I am the villain in your story, but I am not a bad person.

Bastard

I am such a lazy bastard… All I do is eat, shit and watch tele. It actually took someone telling me straight to my face to make me realize the truth. I’ve got to join the gym first thing Monday…

With Masai’s wedding is in less than two months and I’ve got to look good for my sizzling hot date. At the rate my boobs are growing, I am probably going to need a man-bra soon!

Watched Janaat last night with Naz at Monte… OK movie… Not to worth writing home about. Model turned actress – Sonal Chauhan can’t act for shit. They wisely limited her dialogues to a minimum and kept her in flats throughout the movie. We had dinner at Ocean Basket and just hung around in Monte chatting for ages after. Not likely to go for service tomorrow morning… Probably next week.

Started another course at National College of Photography today… We covered Landscape photography. Next week – Wildlife!

Bol Dhe...

Jaanu has been staying over for the last couple of days, and he has been great company. As much as I hate to admit it, I like having people around. Trying to convince Dopey to come visit next month one last time before I leave. I don’t think he will though; wish I could go to Egypt too… Would love to go back and visit there again.

Yesterday was a good day. Went to the driving range in the morning where I managed some good swings if I may say so myself… Got back and tenish and went with Jaanu to Rosebank Market and The Zone for a movie. Nurse and him managed to sneak me into their residence and we went onto the terrace at dusk … Took my baby up with the tripod, lenses etc. Got some good pictures of the Jozi skyline :)

Had a very interesting experience in the evening. Went to Rhema for mass with Naz… Lets just say I am going to go back for the morning service next Sunday.
